The IPEN, as an institution dedicated to promoting and disseminating nuclear science, technology, and knowledge for national development, presents in this edition a topic related to the field of reactors with the study on the "Development of a power measurement system for the RP-10 nuclear reactor using Cherenkov radiation." The results focus on measuring the power of a research nuclear reactor through digital image processing to assess the intensity of the blue glow caused by Cherenkov radiation.
The studies we present showcase the work carried out by specialists at IPEN, highlighting the vast potential to contribute to national development through the use of nuclear technology.
